What if I only want one?

No dice. If you want to buy them, you have to buy them in pairs. And a pair of these beauties will set you back $280.00. That's the cost you'll have pay if you want of piece of history. Collectibles are a big thing today. Just look at Ebay and Antique Roadshow.

You probably already figured out that I'm talking about Veteran Stadium seats.

Those blue babies have a lot of wear. And Memories. Both the Phillies and the Eagles have had there share of good times and bad times. And that what the seats represent to some people.

I personally would not buy the seats. Especially for that price and the fact that I have to buy a pair. But there will plenty of these seats sitting in fan basements and wreck rooms. And in a few years , they'll pop up on Ebay, I'm sure.

So the plan is to sell 30,000 pairs of seats at $280 a pair. That's $8,400,000. Who gets that money??? Is it the city? The Eagles? I don't really know.

All I know is that someone is planning to make large sum of money. Don't get me wrong. I'm not against making money. On the contrary. But if they were depending on fans like me , their annual statement would show an $8,400,000 shortfall. Oh well.
