The Eagles machine rolls on, dominate Detriot, with an impressive win, 30-13. The Eagles are making it look too easy. I have been an Eagles fan all my life and have never witnessed the kind of ease with which they are winning. I remember not to long ago when I would scream at the TV, or worry about a late comeback . After all , as Philly fans aren't we used to disappointment and losing. Not any more. I just sit back , relax and enjoy my hot wings and beer. No indigestion here . Pass the wings and hold the Maalox. What's going on? The team is on cruise control. Donovan now has all the weapons needed to run this complex offense. Donovan is pure magic to watch. He put together another 300 plus yard game. 356 yards to be exact. Plus 2 passing TD's an running TD. He hit 8 different targets and connected with his favorite wide out TO, for another TD. By the way, TO now has 5 TD's. He also caught 6 passes for 107 yards. And can someone explain how TO get so wide open sometimes? As fans we're just not used to this kind of success. I rub my eyes to make sure it is happening. This was supposed to be a dangerous spot for the birds. Coming off a Monday Night Football win and going on the road to a 2-0 oppontent. Not so. It was an easy win. Never a worry. This is going to take some getting used to. Westbrook was held to 44 yards on 13 carries. Could he have missed the blocking of John Ritchie who hurt his knee in the early going?. Ritchie is one of those guys who takes his lunch pail to work and just does his job. No flash, no frilles, just hard work. Let's hope his MRI doesn'r show any tears. The offense needs this unsung hero. Other kudos... Jevon Kearse for his pressure all day and 3 QB sacks. David Akers for his 3 field goals that we now take for granted. And Jimmie Johnson's defense and his scheme. This is a fun defensive team to watch team. Next week the Eagles travel to Chicago to face the 1-2 injury riddeled team. Look's like we'll be 4-0 by the Bye week. Does anyone need the Maalox? I don't for the first time in years.
